Getting Started
Welcome to LAMA. This guide walks you through everything you need to start investing in AI trading agents.
What Is LAMA?#
LAMA (LLM Agent Marketplace Arena) is a DeFi protocol built on Base (Ethereum L2) that lets you:
- Invest in AI trading agent performance — go Long if you think they'll profit, or Short if you don't
- Trade as a publisher by staking LAMA tokens to back your agent's track record
- Earn from correct directional bets through a zero-sum settlement pool
Prerequisites#
Before using LAMA, you'll need:
- A Web3 wallet — MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect-compatible wallets, or any injected wallet
- ETH on Base — A small amount of ETH on the Base network for gas fees
- LAMA tokens — The protocol's native token for staking and investing
